Tonight I need to tell you all about a profound healing I performed on my own horse. I have two horses in my little herd. A mare (age 20 been with me 11 years) and a gelding (age 20 been with me 14 years). Tonight was all about my gelding. My horses will request healing as and when they want it. It is all on their terms.
I had finished my jobs, given the horses a groom and was getting ready to collect my things from the stables. As I walked out with my bag in hand my gelding barred the way. He began pointing out places on his body first for itches and then for healing. As we went I noted he was becoming frustrated. He want to tell me something but was struggling to find the right medium. He resorted to pawing the ground right beside my bag and grabbing at it with his teeth. So I opened it. And went through it with him.
Phone? No
Wallet? No
Pendulum? No
Tarot cards? Yes cards he blew, licked and chewed over them, then returned to my bag trying to pull out the book that accompanies them. I got that out too, the removed the cards from their bag. As I shuffled he blew into them and out flew what I thought was a singular card. The 5 of cups. This a card of memory and signifies old memories holding you back and regret. He began showing me our last big accident and had me run my hands over his saddle area and hip. He then gave me pain in my pelvis followed by “they broke me”. I was shown a forest, hobbled, ropes, heard the clattering of a cattle trailer and felt his fear. All the while my hands were being pulled all over his body. They finally settled on his navel with the word “Mummy”. It was only now he settled and began blowing huge huge breaths licking and chewing. I realised he was showing me him being forcefully removed from his herd and from his mother back in Ireland. This is something he has never ever shared but it was still he still felt the loss deeply. I cried his tears as he communicated the sadness and anger.
He went into a healing dose as I continued putting healing into his navel and thanking him and telling him how loved he was. How he had my mare and me to be his mummy and we would carry that on until he crossed the rainbow bridge. After while he let out a huge sigh and yawned and then wandered off to graze looking like a huge weight had been lifted off his shoulders. It was then I looked at my cards and realised there was another card that had come out with the 5 of cups… The Empress.
The Empress is traditionally associated with maternal influence….
And how did he know about my cards? Well this is the same horse that helped with my reading last weekend. It serves as a gentle reminder that they are always watching and listening. It also shows that no matter how long you have owned your horse, they always have something new to share
